Coach Hal Wasson

Coach Hal Wasson led the Carroll Dragons to their 8th UIL State Championship in December against Fort Bend Hightower completing a 16-0 season, including 10 come from behind wins. Stepping out of the shadows of the coaches before him, Head Coach Wasson brings home his first State Championship to Southlake. Coach Wasson was also recently named MaxPreps 2011 National Coach of the Year.

Canine Officer Nate Anderson
Southlake DPS – Police Services

Canine Officer Nate Anderson was recognized at the January 3rd City Council meeting with a Commendation Bar for going above and beyond the call of duty. Anderson is credited with helping a stranded woman at Southlake Town Square. Police Chief Stephen Mylett says, “Officer Anderson exemplifies the kind of officers we have working as part of the Southlake DPS Police Department. It is an honor to have him on our team.”
