Known as the Black Tie Event of the Year, GRACE is proud to announce the co-chairs for the 2012 GRACE Gala, Stephanie and Tommy Pennington. “Our Gala Committee works very hard to ensure our gala is amazing for all, and the Penningtons are a great addition to run the show,” said GRACE Executive Director Shonda Schaefer.

This year’s GRACE Gala - Angels Among Us - descends over the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas on Saturday, October 13. “Time to mark your calendars and plan to enjoy an incredible evening of celebration and giving back,” said Shonda. “The 2012 Gala Committee will serve more than one thousand hours to bring this wonderful event to life, and the Penningtons have both the volunteering experience as well as the desire to help our neighbors who are experiencing a need or crisis in their lives.”

Tommy and Stephanie are both native Texans and extremely active in our community. Tommy is the CEO of Tommy Pennington Realty Group of Southlake and serves on many boards and advisory roles including the Carroll Education Foundation, Southlake Business Council, Southlake Chamber of Commerce, Digging for Dragons as well as serving as a former GSSA soccer coach and Indian Princess Chief for the Sioux Tribe.

Stephanie also stays involved by serving in her local school district. She is a former executive board member at her local elementary Parent Teacher Organization and co-chairs her children’s schools’ Christmas is for Children, the Change a Life Campaign, a Hospitality Committee, and a School Supplies Committee. She also volunteers in Carroll ISD classrooms.

The Pennington Family attends White's Chapel United Methodist Church where Tommy and Stephanie were just appointed to the Administration Board. Tommy and Stephanie have three girls ages 5, 9 and 11. “We both are excited to chair this year's GRACE Gala in October and already are starting work to make it extra special,” commented Stephanie.
