Imagine a world where light dissolves in the trees and shimmering waters reflect countless colors. An exciting afternoon of free art-making activities, children’s films, and performances awaits participants of all ages at the Kimbell Art Museum’s Free Family Festival “Adventures in Impressionism,” on Saturday, April 21, from 1 to 4 p.m.
Join the adventurous Impressionists to explore their favorite subjects and the wondrous possibilities of color, light, and brushstroke. Highlights will include performances by students from the Texas Ballet Theater School. Advance reservations are not required. Admission to the special exhibition “The Age of Impressionism: Great French Paintings from the Clark” is free during the Festival.

Admission to the Museum's permanent collection is always free. The Age of Impressionism: Great French Paintings from the Clark is on view through June 17, 2012.
