TXU Energy Awards $45K to GRACE to support Energy Efficiency Programs

“TXU Energy generously granted more than $45,000 to GRACE to assist area residents in becoming more energy efficient,” said GRACE Executive Director Shonda Schaefer. “As part of this program and with summer’s heat fast approaching, we have window-sized air conditioning units to distribute to current TXU customers in Tarrant County, and you or your neighbor may qualify for a free A/C unit. We hope many of our senior citizens will contact us if they need to replace an older unit. Often times, our senior citizens are the last ones to call us when they are in need.”

Tarrant County residents who are TXU customers and need an A/C window unit to replace a broken or failing unit can call or come by GRACE Main at 610 Shady Brook in Grapevine, 817-488-7009, to schedule a time to pick up the new unit. GRACE will distribute the A/C units on a first come basis with no waiting list. To obtain the A/C unit at the pre-scheduled time, residents must bring their TXU bill with an ID matching the TXU address.
