Tradition dictates, and we’re big on tradition here in Southlake, that every Fourth of July we gather together as patriotic Americans and celebrate the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. It’s a great day for family fun, good food, and, of course, fireworks. In honor of the upcoming holiday we’re here to offer a selection of fireworks shows guaranteed to deliver a sky-high wow factor.
Stars and Stripes
The fun will get going at Southlake Town Square starting at 6:00 pm throughout the square with events at Frank Cornish Park, McPherson Park and Rustin Pavilion. Stroll around the square enjoying entertainment with kid’s activities, a patriotic ceremony, music, jugglers, magicians, and even Uncle Sam. To top off the night a spectacular fireworks display shoots off at 9:30 with music continuing until 11:00.
Kaboom Town® is consistently ranked by USA Today, Travel & Leisure, and the Wall Street Journal as one of the top places to watch fireworks in the country. You can get the party started with live entertainment on the Dos Equis stage from 5:00pm on including performances by the Zane Williams Band, Studio 54, and Dallas Wind Symphony. Then at 9:30 be ready to be dazzled by the 30-minute fireworks show choreographed to music with a live simulcast on 100.3 JACK FM and TXA21 and don’t forget the after party featuring Dallas’ favorite party band, Emerald City.
Fair Park Fourth
This family-fun event features live music, free or reduced admission to Fair Park Museums, and a stellar fireworks show with the best seat in the house inside the Cotton Bowl stadium. The day begins at 4:30pm and the fireworks explode at 9:30pm with a simulcast of exciting music by KLUV 98.7. Make plans to go by and visit one of the many museums, enjoy the “dancing waters” show at the Bellagio-style Esplanade Fountain and take your seat inside the stadium for the evening’s grand finale.
City of Grapevine
30th Annual Fireworks Extravaganza
Every Friday night at 9:30pm you can take the family to the top of the parking garage at the Gaylord Texan Resort for the Garage Rock Out Party to experience a 12-minute fireworks display taking place over Lake Grapevine as part of the SummerBlast 2012 fun. But, for a truly breathtaking fireworks display get yourself to Lake Grapevine on the Fourth of July, find a spot and prepare to be amazed by the astonishing display starting at 9:30. Watch the fireworks light up the lake waters with sparkling bursts of color.
City of Irving
After a morning parade, a watermelon fest, and a concert in Heritage Park the fun will continue at the intersection of Las Colinas Boulevard and Lake Carolyn Parkway with more concerts, inflatables, water slides, and food concession stands. Wrap up a fabulous fourth with a professionally choreographed fireworks show lighting up the night sky. Parking will be available at the Irving Convention Center for only $5.00 for a perfect view of the spectacular visual celebration.
