Keri Russell and Josh Hamilton take on evil forces to protect their family in the thriller, Dark Skies

Are you a fan of thriller flicks? Do you love a good scary movie? If you answered yes to either of these questions, then you should head to Harkins Southlake 14 this weekend to check out the newest movies to hit the big screen - Dark Skies and Snitch.

Dark Skies centers on a family that lives a peaceful and quiet life in the suburbs until they start experiencing bizarre incidents in their home. Parents Daniel and Lacey Barret try to make sense of what’s happening to their family when they enlist the help of an expert, Edwin Pollard, who specializes in the unexplainable. After consulting with Edwin, Daniel and Lacey learn that they must take on the deadly and terrifying force themselves in order to save their family from the evil visitors in the dark skies.

Snitch is Dwayne Johnson’s newest film where he plays father to a teenage son who is wrongly accused of a drug crime. After learning that his son faces a ten-year minimum jail sentence, Dwayne strikes up a deal with the district attorney to go undercover to infiltrate a deadly and dangerous drug cartel. Desperate to save his son at all costs, will this risk cost Dwayne his life and his family? Tune in this weekend at Harkins Theatres to find out!

Both of these films have intense scenes and are probably best for an adult’s night out. Drop the kiddos off at Harkins exclusive in-lobby PlayCenter for less than the cost of a movie ticket and none of the hassle of finding a babysitter. The little ones can enjoy games and of course, movies with the supervision of finger-printed, background-checked professionals.
