In anbrelection focusing much discussion on finance, voters elected Matt Kormann and ChrisbrArcher to Place 6 and Place 7 on the Carroll Independent School District Boardbrof Trustees on May 11.
Earning 60brpercent of the vote in Saturday's election, Kormann and Archer defeatedbropponents Sam Torolopoulos and Jim Palazzo, respectively. There are 19,859 registered voters in CarrollbrISD, and with 2,599 ballots cast, this represents a voter turnout of approximatelybr13 percent.
On May 20,brtotals will be canvassed by CISD School Board officials beginning at 5:30 p.m.brfollowed by a swearing-in ceremony for newly elected trustees Kormann andbrArcher. After the swearing-in, abrreception for the new trustees and their families will be hosted by CISD.
