Mayor John Terrell presents proclamation to members of Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital.
Southlake City Council proclaimed April 16 to be Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Day in recognition of the hospital’s recent award as the top medium-sized organization in the 2013 Best Companies to Work for in Texas awards program. Created in 2006, the program is a joint project of Texas Monthly, Texas Association of Business, Texas State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management and Best Companies Group.
The statewide survey and awards program identifies, recognizes and honors the best places of employment in Texas and how they benefit the state's economy, its workforce and businesses. The program has named Texas Health Southlake to its top 10 list multiple times, but this is the first time the hospital has won the top spot.
“Our top priority is providing the best possible healthcare, and one critical element in doing so is ensuring all of our employees are enthusiastic about coming to work and doing their best for our patients each and every day,” says Traci Bernard, president of Texas Health Southlake. “This honor is both humbling and rewarding, and we feel honored to have been recognized.”
