2014 Acura MDX

Sleek, comfortable, exciting and versatile — words that quickly come to mind when it comes to the futuristic 2014 Acura MDX. For those cruising SH 114, this vehicle provides a host of high-tech features perfect for speeding down the highway in style.

The 2014 Acura MDX’s emphasis on family fun has drivers covered from carpool to camping getaways. With plenty of stowing capacity, the car also has convenient third-row seating with comfortable spacing for up to seven passengers.

Advanced new features and a new-age feel take the MDX to the head of its class. For starters, an adaptive cruise-control system utilizes radar to maintain safe distances between vehicles, even with varying speeds. An additional camera atop the windshield scans the road for potential obstacles, providing both voice and visual warnings. In an emergency, the safety systems act quickly to trigger the brakes automatically. And the MDX doesn’t stop there — keyless entry, push-to-start ignition, jewel-eye LED headlights and touchscreen navigation displays are only a few of the latest upgrades that round out this well-equipped vehicle.

The 290 hp, I-VTECH V6 engine gives the acceleration and feel of smaller cars as well as more fuel efficiency, a six-speed sport mode and an EPA rating of 20 mpg city/28 mpg highway. Even in adverse weather, the all-wheel drive offers superior handling and a safer driving experience. The exterior style might resemble the sleek look of the previous MDX, but the difference in capabilities when driving is more than noticeable. Acura’s baby SUV has grown up, and the starting price of $42,290 reflects the affordable, family feel Acura is known for.
