Co-Founder of i5 web works Honored by SafeHaven of Tarrant County

Carita Weaver, co-founder and partner of i5 web works, has been named a 2013 Legacy of Women honoree by SafeHaven ofbrTarrant County. The 21st Annual Legacy of Women AwardsbrLuncheon, which benefits SafeHaven's domestic violence prevention andbrintervention programs, will take place October 3 at Tarrant County ConventionbrCenter.
Weaver, who is being honored in the business category for NortheastbrTarrant County, is among 15 honorees this year in the categories of arts,brbusiness, education, health and human services, and volunteerism representingbrArlington, Fort Worth and Northeast Tarrant County. All nominees are judged onbrthe following criteria: commitment, achievements, initiative, impact andbradditional contributions. A panel of SafeHaven's professional staff andbrprevious honorees make the selections.
According to Renova Williams, community volunteer who nominated Weaver,brshe joins a distinguished group of women who excel in their areas of expertisebrwhile giving back to the community.

Weaver was nominated for her contributions to numerous charitablebrorganizations, which includes designing new websites, providing marketingbrexpertise, and serving as a volunteer and board member. A letter of supportbrsubmitted by leaders of The Arts League, Colleyville Woman's Club and GrapevinebrRelief and Community Exchange (GRACE) is a testament to her philanthropicbrdedication: "The cutting-edge website designs and technical support bybrCarita and her company, i5 web works, have been absolutely incredible. “Regardless of how busy my schedule is, I believe there is always timebrto volunteer and help others. I don't consider it to be work when I'm designingbra website or helping to promote a fundraising event for a non-profitbrorganization. Weaver, and her business partner and co-founder, Michael Burns, are thebrwell-recognized faces of i5 web works, which was founded in 2005 and providesbrInternet marketing services in Dallas-Fort Worth including custom websitebrdesign, search engine optimization, pay-per-click advertising and social mediabrmananagement. With a “divide and conquer” strategy, the duo is active inbrnumerous business and community organizations, oftentimes providing pro bonobrexpertise and work. The company has received several awards from local chambersbrof commerce, and Weaver is the recipient of the Chairman's Awardbrfrom the Southlake Chamber of Commerce in 2012 and the Keller Chamber ofbrCommerce in 2010.
