The Black Diamond Jet Team is one of the only civilian jet demonstration teams in the world.

The Fort Worth Alliance Air Show— the premier air show in North Texas returns this weekend, Oct. 19 and 20, with a host of exhilarating displays, including the headlining act, the Black Diamond Jet Team. This aviation festival (free to enter, $20 to park any size vehicle) is fun for the whole family, providing interactive exhibits, flight simulators, static displays, a Kid Zone and plenty of tasty food.

This year's theme, "Honoring Our Past. Inspiring Our Future." reflects the air show's emphasis on World War II. The show will host one of the largest historical reenactments — that of the bombing of Pearl Harbor — featuring Japanese bombers and fighters and a thrilling pyrotechnics display. Additional shows to look forward to include the Liberty Jump Team (who will demonstrate an airborne jump in vintage WWII uniform), the U.S. Air Force Heritage Flight (featuring a P-47 Thunderbolt alongside the famed WWII-era P-51 Mustang) and the Cavanaugh Museum Warbirds, which will have a large contingent of classic military aircraft from the Cavanaugh Museum, plus many more.

Be sure to check out the air show's list of tips for a great day as well as the full list of the day's events.
