Wildwood Grill Serves up Microbrew Craft Beer

Wildwood Grill is supporting the local community and fellow business owners one beer at a time. Grapevine Craft Brewery is gearing up to debut its first signature craft beer to residents and beer lovers during its launch party at 5 p.m. on Dec. 4 at the restaurant.

Wildwood Grill will host a tasting event that will feature flight tastings, pints and Texas tall drafts of the craft beer Lakefire. The spicy rye pale ale debuted on Nov. 27 and is the first of four signature beers that Grapevine Craft Brewery will produce.

Nothing goes better with a cold one than burgers. As a result, Wildwood Grill is offering an expanded burger selection to accompany the distinctive brew.

“We are wild about great food and Texas beer at Wildwood, so this is the perfect combination,” says Wildwood Grill co-owner Dave Garner. “As an independent restaurant, we are very excited to support this local brewery and to be the first restaurant in the area to pour its craft beers.”

Grapevine Craft Brewery is the only microbrewery located between Dallas and Fort Worth, and is a welcome addition to the local dining scene and various wineries.

The brewery is currently located in a product facility in Farmers Branch. However, construction is underway on an 8,100 square-foot building in historic Grapevine that will feature a tasting room, outdoor patio and 30-barrell brewhouse.

Grapevine Craft Brewery founder and CEO Gary Humble, along with his two brew masters, will be on deck during the event to explain the brewing process and answer questions.

“We have been working on making Grapevine Craft Brewery a reality for more than a year,” Humble said. “And as we launch our brewery, we are excited that one of the very first accounts to serve Lakefire Rye Pale Ale is Wildwood Grill.”

The idea behind the launch party is not only to honor the craftsmanship Grapevine Craft Brewery brings to the table, but to also highlight the camaraderie of local businesses and loyal residents.

“Our goal has always been to offer classic cuisine in a comfortable environment, where you don't have to wear a tie to get the best steak in town,” Garner said.

The co-owner concluded, “We have a great local following and many loyal customers who come to Wildwood Grill often to enjoy our extensive wine selection and Texas beers. We're proud to add Grapevine Craft Brewery to our line up and it's just one more reason to come to Wildwood!"
