Exxon Graces Charity with Gift

Dec 20, 2013 01:52PM ● Published by Anonymous

Christmas came early this year to Grapevine Relief And Community Exchange (GRACE) when Exxon Mobil Corporation CEO and chairman Rex Tillerson presented the charity a holiday gift of $50,000. The gift will advance the charity’s relief efforts for homeless clients and families with limited income.

Tillerson established the holiday gift in 2006 to provide support to North Texas nonprofit agencies during the holiday.

“GRACE makes a difference to hundreds of families in North Texas,” says Tillerson. “We hope this gift will further GRACE’s compassionate service to our neighbors during the holiday season.”

Founded in 1987, GRACE offers emergency-assistance programs, medical services, transitional-housing placements, food, clothing and other necessities to more than 4,5000 individuals and families annually.

“This gift is a huge blessing to GRACE and the community we serve,” says Shonda Schaefer, executive director of GRACE. “Thanks to the generosity of ExxonMobil we will be able to create opportunity and hope for 500 additional families.”
