For all of those vintage fans looking to indulge in nostalgia, be sure to make a stop at the Grapevine Fashion and Flea event.

The event begins at 3 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 31 and 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1 at the Grapevine Convention Center. General admission tickets are $6 and can be purchased at Fashion and Flea.

It’s important to note that these urban-style market finds are only vintage, antique and locally produced or handcrafted. Various treasures will be hidden throughout Fashion and Flea, including furniture, clothing, records and jewelry.

Independent merchants sell all of these vintage gems and each item purchased will support small, local businesses.

“The Grapevine location attracts a younger audience, so we are reformatting the show a little to better match their interests,” says Melissa Sands of Vintage Promotions. “The addition of vintage household finds and records will help round-out the experience and make the show even more of a destination.”

Also be on the lookout for History Channel’s American Pickers favorite lady Danielle Colby. She will be on site for shopping and a meet and greet Saturday.

While Danielle is recognized worldwide for her role in the popular TV series, she is also a burlesque dancer, fashion designer and purveyor vintage.

“Fashion and Flea is not the traditional show,” Sands states. “There’s a lot of energy and it’s anything but stuffy. It’s a fun show that’s all about the spirit found on American Pickers.”
