The OhLook Masterclasses are presenting Gilbert and Sullivan’s Pirates of Penzance, which received Best Overall at the MTI Junior Theater Festival.

The Masterclasses will perform the comic opera in Grapevine at 7:30 p.m. on March 28 and March 29, and at 2:30 p.m. on March 30 located at Ohlook Performing Arts Center, 1631 W. Northwest Highway.

The OhLook students performed a 15-minute synopsis from Pirates of Penzance for approximately 4,500 Junior Theater Festival attendees in January, which ultimately led to winning a Freddie G Outstanding Production award at the Atlanta-based festival.

"This was a really extraordinary performance. I was awed by these young folks ability to truly commit to the spirit and challenge of Gilbert & Sullivan. It was a beautiful show of joy: truly exceptional," said Sally G. Tomlinson Artistic Director of Theatre for Youth and Families at the Alliance Theatre Rosemary Newcott.
