The boldest little brewery in Grapevine is taking over the Metroplex, receiving the No. 1 rank as the best beer in Dallas.

Grapevine Craft Brewery was named the Best Beer in Dallas by D Magazine in the June 2014 issue. A four person panel of Certified Cicerones and local beer enthusiasts all agreed that Sir William's English Brown Ale ranks No. 1 our of 30 local North Texas beers.

The blinding sampling and a concise of judging of great beer were the key metrics in ranking the local craft brews. It's also worth mentioning that Grapevine Craft Brewery's Lakefire Rye Pale Ale is No. 12 on the list as well.

"At Grapevine Craft Brewery, we are dedicated to putting out well crafted local beers. And we’re just getting started," the company released in a statement. "After only 6 months on the job, our beers can now be found in over 375 locations across North and Central Texas..."

In June, the brewery is releasing two new brands, including 10 Gauge Belgian IPA, which is a careful balance between hop aroma and a crisp finishing Abbey style ale.

Additionally, Grapevine Craft Brewery will release its first beer in the new bottle conditioned Bonnie Blue series of beers, La Saison des Festivals, a wonderful saison boasting a rich grapefruit flavor derived solely from fermentation character and Mosaic hops.

Grapevine resident entrepreneur Gary Humble is the heart and soul behind upstart Grapevine Craft Brewery and was our October cover story.

He recently announced plans to expand its brew to the live music capital of the world, Austin, TX.
