The Fort Worth Zoo hosts 8th annual Beastro culinary fundraiser on June 13

In a continuing effort to raise money for international wildlife conservation and education efforts, the Fort Worth Zoo’s Beastro event is returning for the eighth year in a row. The premier tasting festival, open to those 21 and over, features open bars and appetizers, entrées and desserts from restaurants from across the Metroplex including Max’s Wine Dive, Texas de Brazil, Central Market, Pacific Table, Olenjack’s Grille and many others. Following in the footsteps of Charlie Robison, Spin Doctors, Everclear and Sister Hazel, The Romantics — perhaps most well-known for their smash hits “What I Like About You” and “Talking in Your Sleep” — will take the stage as Beastro’s 2014 entertainment. Additionally, several animal exhibits will stay open until the sun goes down, and some of the zoo’s outreach animals will greet guests as they arrive.

General admission tickets to this can’t-miss celebration are $99 per person — this includes all food, drinks and entertainment. They can be purchased online until noon on June 13 and are delivered via email. The zoo advises guests to dress summer chic and to wear comfortable shoes because vendors will be stationed throughout the grounds. The event begins at 7:30 p.m. and runs until midnight.
