Catch This Show

Jul 18, 2014 05:06PM ● By Mike

Based on the 2002 DreamWorks Motion Picture starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks and fresh from Broadway, Catch Me If You Can, opens this weekend at OhLook Performing Arts Center in Grapevine. Inspired by the incredible true story of Frank Abagnale, a con artist, who before his 19th birthday successfully posed as a Pan American pilot, a doctor and a lawyer while forging checks worth millions of dollars along the way.

An incredible Broadway smash, Catch Me If You Can was nominated for four Tony Awards in 2011, including Best Musical and Best Orchestrations.

This new musical with a book by Terrence McNally (The Full Monty and Ragtime) and music and lyrics by Marc Shaiman and Scott Witman (Hairspray) has everything audiences are looking for, including a fabulous score and high-energy dance numbers.

Ohlook has a reputation for graduating some of the most talented drama students in the DFW area.  Many students have pursued acting as a career like former Carroll Dragon Alum Pim van Amerongen – who has played “Don” in the national tour of A Chorus Line.

Performances of Catch Me If You Can  will be held Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2:30pm, now through August 3rd.

Tickets are $15 and are available at OhLookPerform.com
