Let's face it; men are often the silent type when it comes to their health. But during this month, which has been affectionately dubbed Movember (moustache + November), charities and organizations all over the world have set out to raise awareness for men's health —one mustache at a time.
Southlake-based The Boardroom Salon for Men is participating in the moustache movement. You can enter their weekly contest during Movember for your chance to win mustache trims or a benchmark haircut.
For every entry received, The Boardroom will donate $10 to the Movember Foundation. They are also hosting Shave Parties at their 17 locations, Nov. 29 and 30. Attendees will earn 50 percent off of an Express Shave with a $5 donation to the foundation.
The Movember Foundation, a global organization, has raised $559 million to date and funded more than 800 programs in 21 countries. According to the foundation's website, “this work is saving and improving the lives of men affected by prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health problems.”
