"We are bringing a service to Southlake which cannot be found anywhere else in the heart of the metroplex. There is a need for more family friendly culinary activities which can help grow the imagination, empowerment and creativity for participants of all ages. We want to be a part of this amazing community and grow with Southlake in the years to come."
There are also holiday-themed workshops for all to enjoy.
"Gingerbread decorating is above all a favorite for all ages!" Bullock explained. "In December, we decorate traditional holiday gingerbread houses. In February we turn our creativity and share our sweetness with lots of pink, red and white candy while we decorate Love Shacks. October kicks off gingerbread season when we decorate Haunted Houses, making Halloween sweet and spooky."
In April, they host a Summer Camp Expo during which they demonstrate everything from Baking 101 to culinary competition, Iron Chef style. In May, Taste Buds hosts a workshop for those with special needs. In August, professionals are invited to participate in a corporate workshop, chock full of networking opportunities. In September, Cooking is a big part of education. Taste Buds will host an event for homeschool kids and families to come and have some fun in the kitchen together.
The overall vision, Bullock said, is to create the opportunity to learn life-skills, the love of creating and enjoying food with others while taking pride and building confidence in a fun and entertaining environment.
The Taste Buds Kitchen is expected to hold its grand opening event from Feb. 27 to March 1. The business's concept is unique and offers classes, workshops and events for all ages.
"We wanted to make our Kitchen accessible to as many families in the metroplex as possible," said Eden Bullock, owner and executive chef at Taste Buds Kitchen of Southlake. "Having been a part of the community for the better part of the past decade, Southlake was an obvious choice. The Southlake community is very welcoming and supportive of small business success.

Construction is nearing completion. Those interested in signing up before the shop opens can go to tastebudskitchen.com/southlake. Starting in the middle of February, those who are currently registered to receive communication from Taste Buds Kitchen, either as a client or through "Kitchen News" will be the first to know about upcoming events.
"We will be giving away workshops, classes and other goodies all weekend long to the first few to register for each event," Bullock said. "All of our Grand Opening Events will be free and full of fun! It will be a great time to get to know Taste Buds Kitchen, sample some excellent cuisine and try your hand at creating something of your own."

Bullock said Southlake is a growing and diverse community, which gives Taste Buds a good reason to join the scene.
"The food culture locally is represented well with excellent dining and shopping choices," she said. "We love having the opportunity to supplement the foodie movement in Southlake with offering cooking events for literally all ages, 2-99. We've had a great time meeting and getting to know many families in the area, all who are excited to come and cook with us whether they've been cooking for years or it will be their first time. We have something for everyone!"

The SuperFoodie workshop is great for kids, Bullock said. SuperFoodie is a dynamic hands-on class that is based on empowering kids to be "Super Strong, Super Fast, Super Healthy and Super Happy," using creative and delicious ingredients and recipes.
"Around the World" classes are offered for school-aged kids. Cuisine includes Thai, French, India, and more.
One of our most popular adult workshops, Bullock said, is "Homemade Pasta." During this two-hour BYOB workshop students learn to knead, roll and cut pasta into fettucini and fill perfectly delicious raviolis, and finish off with a trusty homemade tomato sauce.
There are also holiday-themed workshops for all to enjoy.

"Southlake is a great place to start and we' d like to share our appreciation to the community for all who have and will support us. Within five years, we plan to expand our dream to share the love of cooking to all areas of DFW with more Taste Buds Kitchen locations."
