Events for your Community Service Calendar

Attending the Relay for Life Southlake information meeting tonight is just one item to put on your community service calendar.
It’s always great to see Carroll students involved in community events, and the following three charitable activities are no different. Take a few minutes to consider how you can help by donating your time and efforts to great causes.
Relay for Life (information meeting)
When: Wednesday, Feb. 18 from 6 to 7 p.m.
Where: Carroll ISD Administration Center, 2400 N. Carroll Ave.
What: A Relay For Life Southlake information meeting—Teams have already started forming and fundraising is well underway. Learn how to sign up for the event or simply make a donation.
Since 2010, Carroll ISD and the American Cancer Society have hosted Relay For Life Southlake
a community and family-friendly event featuring entertainment and food to help raise donations for the American Cancer Society. Relay 2015 will be held from 6 p.m. to midnight on May 29. The annual event takes place on the track and field behind Carroll High School.
Blood Drive at CSHS
When: Thursday, Feb. 19 from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.—reservations
Where: Carroll Senior High School, 1501 West Southlake Blvd., on the main floor of the library
What: For the last five year, Carroll Senior High School—through the Student Council—has hosted a blood drive with Carter BloodCare once a year. According to Linda Goelzer,Director of Public Relations for Carter BloodCare, the drive is projected to collect 145 units of blood, based on historical average of collections.
Key Club Charity Golf Tournament
When: Saturday, March 28 beginning at 11:30 a.m.
Where: Sky Creek Ranch
What: Southlake Carroll Senior High School Key Club is raising money to help children community service programs such as the Children's Miracle Network and Southwest Kids. Ways to help include purchasing a package to play golf and enjoy lunch and dinner, donating something to be auctioned off or purchasing a $75 hole sponsor sign. The Key Club is looking to raise $15,000, and has already received donations from many businesses in the Southlake community.
