The official numbers are in, and with 100 points, the Carroll Dragons have taken the newly formed Class 6A in the 2015 UIL Lone Star Cup. This makes the district the first in history to win this division.

The Lone Star Cup is awarded annually to six high schools, one in each of the six UIL classifications (1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A and 6A), and honors the best athletic and academic programs in the state. The winning schools in each classification will receive the UIL Lone Star Cup trophy and a $1,000 scholarship, also presented by the UIL.

The Dragons finished 16 points ahead of second-place Conroe The Woodlands, who came in with 86 points. In third was Arlington Martin with 79 points.

Standings include: State and Area Marching Band, Team Tennis, Cross Country, Volleyball, Football, Swimming & Diving, Wrestling, Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball, Soccer, Golf, Track & Field, Academics, One Act Play, Softball, and Baseball.

Congratulations to all teams, students, athletes, families, faculty and coaches who made this possible for the city and the district!
