ZERo to 60: INFINITI Q60

Jul 27, 2015 12:06PM ● By Dia

Once well known and highly respected under the G37 moniker, the 2015 Infiniti Q60 convertible is a two-door, four-seat convertible in a coupe’s clothing. Powered by Infiniti’s award-winning, V6 engine, this car is a thrill to drive. But, thanks to it’s innovative retractable hardtop and ultra-premium accessories, it’s also a thrill to own.

The Q60’s standard 3.7-liter V6 engine throws off an impressive 325 horsepower, which provides plenty of power, especially when combined with the available seven-speed automatic transmission whose available solid magnesium paddle shifters add that extra level of engagement and driving response. The car’s advanced platform design weight is balanced from front to back, creating a stable foundation for the four-wheel independent suspension.

The only way to improve a drive on the open road is to, well, open up the top. Maintaining its seductive, coupe-like lines and performance, the Q60 takes on its open-air persona through the use of an exclusive three-piece “clamshell” retractable hardtop. Slim designed to “minimize bulk,” the top secures safely in the trunk at just the push of a button.

Advanced technology outside meets the cabin in progressive ways. Manage your speed, your commute, and the world around you with an entire suite of tech-laden devices like Infiniti’s Intelligent Cruise Control, Hard Drive Navigation and reverse backup camera that will help keep your mind and spirit as free as a windy back country road. When coupled with the well-designed rear wind deflector, the available Bose Open Air System is a notable step up—even with the top down. By monitoring both ambient noise and vehicle speed, the amplifier’s equalization adjusts for unsurpassed clarity across each of the cabin’s 13 speakers.

As smooth as the sound from the speakers, the luxury interior is highlighted by a leather- appointed interior accented with high-gloss maple wood and Silk Obi Aluminum trim.

Starting at a $48,550 and ranging as high as $62,100 for the 343 horsepower IPL (Infiniti Performance Line), Infiniti’s Q60 convertible provides the mature styling of an executive sedan with the heart-pumping adrenaline and youthful exuberance of a performance sports car. This car is perfectly tailored for those who want it all.
