Howard Wang was born in China and moved to Korea as a child. He and His family moved to the United States, landing in Chicago. His father was a restaurateur there, showing Howard the ropes, until Howard decided to make a name for himself here in Texas. Joining up with Chef John Huang from New York's China town. Howard began building his name over 30 years ago with the opening of Empress of China in Irving. Mr. Wang is now owner/operator with his son Jowin of 5 stores across the metroplex, his latest endeavor being Howard Wang's China Grill in Southlake Texas.
