Lindsay and Kyle, winners of the "Married at the Marq" giveaway
Bride-to-be, Lindsay, and her fiancé, Kyle, are getting the wedding of their dreams all for free – they’re the lucky winners of the “Married at the Marq” giveaway. Phase 1 of The Marq Southlake’s premier wedding and event venue, is set to open its doors this fall. Here’s our Q&A with Lindsay.
Southlake Style: First of all, congratulations! How does it feel to win The Marq’s wedding giveaway?
Lindsay: Honestly, we can’t put it into words. It took a while to sink in, but just a mixture of shock, excitement, anticipation and joy. I feel so lucky and am excited to spend our big day in Southlake, where I grew up. It means a lot to me.
SS: Tell us about yourself and your fiancé, Kyle. I understand you’re a Carroll grad?
Lindsay: Yes, I am a Carroll grad. Go Dragons! I’m also a Texas Tech grad and have lived in California for years until Kyle and I relocated to Ohio for his job. I own and operate an online women’s boutique, The Anchored Rose, and hope to bring some of that Texas style up north with me! As for Kyle and I, we met through mutual friends a few years ago in Los Angeles and have been together for two years. It’s been such a great journey so far and we’re excited to see what’s next!
SS: How did Kyle propose?
Lindsay: On the beach in Hermosa Beach, California, when the sun was setting. It was perfect. We were with our friends and family, and Hermosa means a lot to us since that’s where we met. He also had pictures taken of the whole thing, so I guess he gets some bonus points for that.
SS: Have you set a date for the wedding?
Lindsay: At this point, no. We’re thinking Spring 2016.
SS: What are you most excited about as you plan your big day?
Lindsay: Just being in the moment with all our friends and family. I’m sure the day will fly by, but I know we’ll make memories to last a lifetime.
SS: Anything else you’d like to say?
Lindsay: I never win anything! This is so amazing, we truly feel blessed!
