Akemi Steiner has been named the new School Manager for Little Sunshine’s Playhouse, located at 600 Zena Rucker Road in Southlake. Steiner, who has a degree in Special Education from Stephen F. Austin University, brings more than 24 years of experience in the early-childhood business.
“I am so pleased to be the School Manager at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse in Southlake. This position will allow me to do what I do best, and that is to work with parents, teachers and students to ensure success in every way possible,” she said in a press release. “I look forward to being a part of the daily growth of imaginations, enrichment of positive attitudes as self-esteems are being developed, and the ever so important learning that will prepare each child for future endeavors.”
The Little Sunshine’s Playhouse system provides ample opportunity for school managers to stay connected to the Corporate Office and one another for support through weekly trainings, annual conferences, a highly interactive Educator Forum with quality benchmarking and an ongoing internal accreditation program.
The philosophy differs from the average preschool because of its focus on building self-esteem through the arts and sports, limited enrollment and an upscale environment that incorporates luxurious wood and fabric finishes in non-traditional color tones. Little Sunshine’s Playhouse serves as a castle for a “Once Upon A Time” experience that enables each child to learn through play, develop their imagination and grow socially.
