Are you a member of the medical community? The Carroll Medical Academy (CMA) invites you to take part in its Annual Medical Professionals Career Day on February 11, 2016, at the CISD Administration Building. The event is an opportunity for students to converse with medical professionals, and it’s a chance for those in the medical field to give back to the community.

Now in its 11th year, CMA is an advanced high school academic program for students who are interested in pursuing careers in the medical field. The program, which includes 214 students in 9th through 12th grade, is under the direction of Sherry Martin, Director/AP Biology teacher.

“CMA's Annual Career Day affords our students the opportunity to explore the many and varied career tracks available within the healthcare field,” says Trish Ballew of the Carroll Medical Academy Boosters. “Each year, all CMA students spend a day conversing with medical professionals from across Southlake and the Metropolex. About 60 participants attended the most recent CMA Career Day.”

CMA is calling for all interested medical professionals including physicians, biomedical engineers, researchers, nurses, pharmacists and scientists/engineers engaged in the pursuit of improved medical technologies and remedies.

“CMA's Annual Career Day creates an environment in which our outstanding professionals can share their expertise, experiences and successes with students who are embarking on the same journey and who share similar passions and interests,” Ballew says.
