Get your running shoes ready: Southlake-based Del Frisco's Restaurant Group Inc. is hosting its second annual Run With the Troopsbr5K. The family-friendly event is planned for November 7, 2015, at BicentennialbrPark. Head out and run or walk alongside past and current military personnel onbra five-kilometer course all for the benefit of Operation Once in a Lifetime, abrnonprofit created to make the dreams of U.S. soldiers come true.

Last year, approximatelybr700 runners and walkers signed up for the event. This year, Del Frisco's isbraiming for 1,000 registrations, upping the competition, donations and fun.brRunners and walkers of all ages are invited to help Del Frisco's and OperationbrOnce in a Lifetime achieve this goal.
The Del Frisco's Run Withbrthe Troops includes a 5K run and 1-mile kids' fun run on a USATF-certifiedbrcourse. Runners also have the option of supporting a specific military branchbrby running cadence with a branch of their choice. Various service members frombrthe Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines will be on hand to lead cadence in abrformation run.
The event will also include a raffle and livebrdrawing for a 1969 Chevy Camaro with an original motor.
Late registration beginsbrat 7:30 a.m. and the 5K run will begin at 9 a.m. The 5K will be timed usingbrstate-of-the-art ChronoTrack timing systems. The ChronoTrack system uses abrdisposable tag, called a D-Tag, allowing runners to walk away from the finishbrwithout needing to return tags. Trophies will be awarded to the top male andbrfemale finishers and to the top three male and female runners in all agebrgroups.
