KidsbrMatter International willbrhost its annual Around the Block clothing program this Saturday. Held each November, the program invites underprivileged school age children and their families to Kohl’s in Southlake and Southwest Fort Worth, hands them $100 to spend and pairs them with one of hundreds of volunteer personal shoppers. They shop the department store at deep discounts, choosing their very own brand new clothes, some for the very first time. “The last thing families should be worried about during the holiday season is if they willbrhave warm enough clothes for their children. Through the generosity of our partners andbrdonors, we were able to clothe 1,272 children at last year’s event,” said Joe King, Presidentbrand CEO of Kids Matter, in a press release. “At KMI, it has always been our dream to make that a reality for asbrmany families as possible and with support from local companies, we are given thebrresources to make that happen this year.”
The events will take place on Saturday, November 7 frombr6:00a.m. - 11:00a.m. at Kohl's, 3001 State Highway 114 inbrSouthlake (114 & Southlake Blvd.) and on Saturday, November 14 from 6:00a.m. - 11:00a.m. at KOHL's, 5520 SW Loop 820 in Fort Worth. The non-profit plans to clothe 1,300brchildren and is seeking volunteers and donations. For more information, contact Lana Ebersole at 440.263.5323 or emailbrLEbersole@KidsMatterInternational.org.
