Seattle-based Sur La Table (meaning ‘on the table’ in French) recently opened its fourth North Texas store in Southlake in the Park Village shopping center. The nearly 5,800-square-foot space is a culinary mecca. From a do-it-all stand mixer to handcrafted Japanese cutlery, Sur La Table’s selection of products is a true celebration of cooking and entertaining. If it’s in the kitchen or on the table, Sur La Table has it—from the everyday to the hard to find, even the unexpected.
Sur La Table is more than a store. It’s an experience. You can watch free in-store demonstrations showcasing the latest innovations or visit its coffee bar to find the machine that’s perfect for you. If your knives are a bit too dull, you can bring them in to be sharpened (for a nominal charge), or if you’re looking to purchase new knives you can test-drive them. Just slice and dice all you want until you find the knife that feels right.
It also has one of the most highly regarded cooking class programs in the country. Most classes are hands-on and focus on seasonal cuisine and technique-oriented courses. Skill levels range from beginner to advanced, with special courses for kids and teens. The Southlake store is currently offering the following classes: ‘Croissants from Scratch’ and ‘Autumn in the Alps.’
