Teddy’s Bigger Burgers Arrives in Colleyville

Nov 05, 2015 12:00PM ● By Audrey Sellers

There’s a brand-new burger in town, and it’s big. Teddy’s Bigger Burgers, the Hawaiian burger phenomenon, has opened its first shop in Texas. Located at 4712 Colleyville Boulevard (Highway 26), the restaurant serves menu items with “retro Hawaiian flair.”

Founded 17 years ago in Hawaii, the Teddy’s Bigger Burgers brand lives up to its name. The premium, 100-percent ground chuck burgers are big and beefy, and flame broiled to perfection. Signature burgers include the Original Burger, Teriyaki Burger and Monster Double Burger, which is the largest burger on the menu at one pound of premium ground chuck.

Patrons can also feast on eight specialty burgers such as the Hawaiian Bleu Wave and Kilauea Fire. Burgers are available in three patty sizes: big (four ounces), bigger (six ounces) and biggest (eight ounces). Base price for burgers ranges from $5.19 to $11.19, and guests can customize with add-ons such as avocado, BBQ pork and grilled pineapple.

Burgers are served on fluffy potato and wheat buns (gluten-free available) or lettuce wraps to save on carbs. For burger sauces, there’s the Teddy’s Special Sauce as well as Sriracha Aioli, Kilauea Fire BBQ and Golden BBQ.

The menu also includes a turkey burger, veggie burger, grilled chicken and crispy chicken breast sandwiches, grilled salmon burger, fish fillet sandwich, pastrami sandwich and BBQ pork. Teddy’s Garlic Butter and Umami Fries are another iconic trademark, as are the hand scooped extra thick shakes available in 10 flavors.

There are also basket meals of chicken tenders, buffalo chicken, garlic chicken, and fish and chips, plus mouthwatering salads.

Brad and Nancy Sinex of Colleyville are the owners of the new Teddy’s Bigger Burgers. It all came about while the Sinexs visited Maui in 2013 and ate at the Teddy’s location in Lahaina, Maui. They were immediately hooked on the delicious burgers and recognized the marketability of the concept. Brad and Nancy met the founders/owners Rich Stula and Ted Tsakiris and a deal was made for the Sinexs to purchase a franchise that would become the first Texas location of Teddy’s.

Teddy’s Bigger Burgers in Colleyville is open seven days a week from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Click here to see the menu and learn more.
