Alaska is one of the top cruise destinations in the world, and next summer, Southlake Style is inviting you and your family to join us for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. We will set sail on a seven-night cruise aboard the Celebrity Solstice®, stopping at several Alaskan ports along the way. Why Alaska? Here are seven reasons:

It’s Bigger Than Texas!

While we know everything is bigger in Texas, it’s even bigger in Alaska. The 49th state is more than twice the size of our fair state, yet only 730,000 people call Alaska home. That means most of the state is untamed, untouched wilderness. Between the mountains and the glaciers, it’s a wilderness paradise, and perfect to view from the ship’s deck.

One High After Another

Alaska not only has the highest peaked mountain in North America (Denali), it has 17 of the 20 tallest mountains as well. And it contains more than 100,000 glaciers. Mendenhall Glacier (one of our stops) is just one of the 38 major glaciers that flow from the Juneau Icefield, an expanse of interconnected glaciers that sits just behind the mountains next to Juneau.

Sea Lions, Eagles and Bears, Oh My!

Other than a zoo, it’s hard to find a place where you can view the myriad of wildlife and marine life. Whether it’s moose, brown bears, black bears, polar bears, bald eagles, sea lions, salmon, whales, orcas, and more, you are almost guaranteed to see these creatures in their natural habitat.

Activities Abound

Though there are many excursions you can do, the Expedition Alaska group cruise next summer has three private shore excursions to choose from. You can enjoy the history of lighthouses and totem poles, zipline over a forest, or take a train up a mountain and enjoy sweeping views. Each offers its own unique experiences and level of adventure.

Cruise in Style

Whether you enjoy its world-class staterooms, specialty restaurants, wine bar or lawn (yes, there is a lawn on the highest deck), Celebrity Solstice has it all. There is even the Canyon Ranch SpaClub® and fitness center, where you can pamper yourself with a spa treatment or push yourself in a workout with one of its trainers.

Fun with Family and Friends

Dine, dance and decompress with family and friends. As part of the Southlake Style Expedition Alaska group, guests will receive these exclusive on-board amenities:

  • Martini-tasting event
    • Cocktail party
    • Onboard kids’ activity
  • Celebrity coupon booklet valued up to $350
  • Shangri-La World Travel and Southlake Style tote

April Weather in August

Escape the scorching summer heat of Texas. The average temperature in Alaska during the month of August is 66 degrees – that’s our average temperature in April. Having to wear a jacket in August will be a refreshing change.
