Southlake Style celebrated John Terrell and the best of the best at its annual Best Of 2015 gala at The Marq Southlake. Sponsored by BMW & Mini of Arlington and Engel & Völkers, the gala is a time to recount the past year's events and celebrate what makes our community so special. Guests this year included Southlake residents Zena Rucker and former MLB player, Homer Bush, both who were featured in the magazine in 2015. Attendees enjoyed a buffet catered by the Hilton Southlake and craft beers from Grapevine Craft Brewery, while listening to music performed by the Carroll Jazz Band.
The highlight of the night was when Southlake Style owners, Mike and Nicole Tesoriero, along with Mayor Laura Hill, presented John Terrell with the 2015 Community Impact Award. Terrell's involvement with the parks renaissance in Southlake and his commitment to making Southlake one of the most desirable places to live, made the choice to honor him an easy one. Since its establishment inbr2009, the award has recognized the city’s most significant and long-standingbrcontributors. Past honorees include:
