“We're excited to bringbrour modern take on Thai and Vietnamese cuisine and refined service tobrSouthlake's burgeoning food scene,” said Braden in a press release. “We arebrlooking forward to becoming a neighborhood staple for the community.”
This second location willbrstay true to Malai's core principles of sourcing the highest qualitybringredients available and preparing as much as possible from scratch. As withbrthe original restaurant, all curry paste, sriracha sauce and coconut milk willbrcontinue to be prepared in-house daily. For new projects, the Wages havebracquired a sugar cane juicer to add fresh sugar cane juice to the menu, an itembrthat will be exclusive to Southlake. In addition, the Southlake location willbrexpand Malai's unique beer program, including five of their house-brewed,brAsian-style beers on tap and a larger brew room.
Dinner, lunch, brunch andbrbeverage menus will remain consistent with the original, except for a fewbradditions including Hanoi Style Snapper, Vietnamese Filet Mignon, Panang CurrybrDuck, Arctic Char, and Chili Chocolate Roti. Expect fan favorites such as thebrThai Coconut Soup, Peanut-Encrusted Ruby Trout, Iron Pot Green Curry Chicken,brVietnamese Barbeque Pork Ribs, Thai Eggs Benedict, and Mango Sticky Rice Smash.brThe bar will boast seasonal signature cocktails and an approachable wine list.
