Carroll Indoor Percussion Wins Second Place at NTCA Competition

Feb 12, 2016 08:44AM ● Published by Audrey Sellers

The 38 percussionists on the Carroll Indoor Drum Line rocked the house at the recent North Texas Colorguard Association (NTCA) competition, winning second place. This was the drum line’s first competition of the season and their first performance in the highly competitive Scholastic Marching Open Class. The drum line is under the direction of David Walker, who started the program three years ago when he joined the Carroll Band staff.

Founded in 1993, NTCA is aimed at providing a band director-friendly environment with education-based competition. The focus of the circuit is on smaller scholastic groups wishing to participate at a local level. Visit NTCA-online.com to learn more.
