Southlake Town Square. Springtime in Southlake. It’s a beauty on its own, but pair it with artistic creations and it’s simply breathtaking. Lucky for us, this stunning backdrop has become an annual tradition since it was first brought to life as a community fundraiser by the Southlake Women’s Club in 2000. Today, the fine arts festival has grown not only locally, but nationally, recognized as one of the top fine arts festivals in the country. And it’s easy to see why. The two-and-a-half-day event continues to build momentum even 16 years after its inception, as its volunteer creators work hard to promote cultural experiences in our community and raise money to support local charities. Here you’ll find emerging and professional artists mingling with young artists just learning to hone their craft. It’s a true celebration of what it means to be an artist.
Art in the Square is the perfect opportunity to introduce your children (or yourself) to a new way to think about the world. Discover artwork from 150 artists exhibiting 2D, 3D, sculpture, photography and more. Sample cuisine and beverages of all kinds, with delectable options including a bellini and margarita tent, and plenty of food trucks. Get your fill, then find a seat or a patch of grass and enjoy entertainment on two stages, with a variety of musical genres represented from jazz and blues to pop and rock, and even reggae. Who knows, you might even leave with a new favorite art form that you never truly appreciated … until you realized you couldn’t live without it.
