It always warms our hearts to see organizations giving back to children battling an illness because every child deserves the opportunity to enjoy activities that any normal, healthy child would. That’s why we couldn’t wait to share Fan Expo HQ’s partnership with Heroes for Children, an extraordinary nonprofit that helps families with children battling cancer by providing financial and social assistance to them and their families.
On May 21, Fan Expo HQ, one of the largest entertainment convention groups in North America, hosted a breakfast for more than 40 guests at Half Price Books for children supported by Heroes for Children. The precious children ate breakfast with their favorite superheroes, as well as got to take pictures with the famous characters. The grateful kids were also given a superhero cape to truly get in the superhero spirit.
In addition to eating a delicious breakfast and taking silly photos, kids played games while listening to stories told by the beloved characters. All of the fun and games were held in preparation for Fan Expo Dallas, the largest comics, sci-fi, horror, anime and gaming event in Texas, to take place June 3-5 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.
All guests present at the breakfast were treated with complimentary tickets to Fan Expo Dallas, which includes a breakfast sponsored by Dunkin’ Donuts. In addition to the free event and breakfast, a book and goodie giveaway sponsored by Half Price Books was also included in the gift.
Fan Expo Dallas, presented by Dallas Comic Con, is quickly becoming one of the largest events in the U.S. The highly anticipated affair offers attendees exhilarating, family-friendly activities, as well as celebrity guests. The pop culture spectacular expects 50,000 fans to participate in the annual celebration. What better way to celebrate life than by joining others in an event that is sure to make children focus on the positives in life?
Tickets and packages (including exclusives and perks) to Fan Expo Dallas start at $25 and can be purchased online (http://fanexpodallas.com/tickets/) or at the box office onsite.
