If you'rebrlooking for home furnishings or design inspiration, The Interior Collection locatedbron Southlake Boulevard is a good place to start. The company was named one of Home Accents Today's 50 Retail Stars forbr2016 by editors of the premier trade magazine for the home accents industry.
The RetailbrStars list, now in its 12th year, recognizes independent brick-and-mortar retailersbrof home accents – including furniture stores and interior design boutiques – thatbrare creative in their merchandising, have a positive presence in their localbrcommunities and are distinguishing themselves from the competition.

“Every year, this magazine has the privilege of identifying somebrof the best independent home décor and furnishings stores in the country,” saidbrJenny Heinzen York, editor in chief of HomebrAccents Today. The 2016 Retail Stars are stores that are taking on thebrchanging world of retail with marketing, merchandising, customer service andbrinnovation that keeps them relevant and growing.
“Independent retail in the age of e-commerce and chain stores isbrnothing short of a labor of love – and these stores represent thebrbest there is in their field. We congratulate each one, and encourage everyonebrto support their own local businesses,” Heinzen added.
Eighteenbrof the stores on this year's list have been operatingbrsuccessfully for more than 20 years, and six are at least 70 yearsbrold. Sixteen stores are ringing up annual sales in excess of $3 millionbrand six of those are at $10 million plus. Forty-six of the 50 storesbron this year's list offer design services, and 43 say they offer abrto-the-trade program for interior designers.
Twenty-fivebrU.S. states are represented on this year's list, with New Yorkbrcontributing seven stores, and California, Florida and SouthbrCarolina each contributing four. A third of this year's businessesbroperate in multiple locations.
Membersbrof the home furnishings industry were invited to suggest stores, and retailersbrwere encouraged to submit information describing their businesses. The list wasbrcompiled and narrowed down by research analysts and Susan Dickenson, Home Accents Today’s retail editor.
The 50brRetail Stars list, sponsored by AmericasMart Atlanta, publishes each year in Home Accents Today’s May issue. The 30-year-oldbrpublication, based in Greensboro, North Carolina, is owned by ProgressivebrBusiness Media.
