Sizzling Summer Art Camp
July 11-14, 18-21
Carroll Middle School Art Room, 1800 E. Kirkwood Ave.
Cost: $165, or both camps for $300
Attend two, fun-filled camps, for kids ages 8-14. All materials and supplies provided. Come to both camps and stay all day. Camps draw inspiration from various artists and will give kids an opportunity to learn techniques, experiment with materials, allow for self-expression, and expand the horizon of what art can be.
Kindergarten Boot Camp
Aug. 8-10, 12:30-4:30 p.m.
Cost: $150
Are you getting excited about kindergarten? We invite all incoming kindergarten Dragons to join us for Kindergarten Boot Camp! Campersbrwill have a brief introduction to our kindergarten day. We will have abrblast getting to knowbreach other and learningbrat the same time!
Mr. McCoy's Creative Kids Summer Camp
July 18-21, 25-28
Cost: $165
Creative Kids is a program for incoming 1st through 5th graders that involves singing, acting, a little dancing and a whole lot of fun. We work all week putting together a fun show to perform. Can't sing, act or dance? Who cares? Come and have fun anyway!
Math Study Groups with Mrs. Arnold, Summer 2016l

Aug. 3-4, 10:30/11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.; Aug. 9-10, 10:30/11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Cost: $100 per session.
Small groups of grade appropriate students working on problembrsolving and skills for the upcoming school year. Designed to help prepare them for the math classbrthey will be entering in the fall. Groups will be for students 4th grade to High School algebra. Webrwill review any needed skills and look at upcoming skills so that students can start the 2016-2017 schoolbryear with confidence and success. Classes will also be set up for students entering the 5th or 6th grade Accelerated Math classes at Carroll.
Back to Basics Writing Boot Camp with Karen Otto
July 25-28, 9 a.m. - noon
Cost: $395
This is high intensity strength training in writing basics, and it's the only course like it in Southlake! Students will build writing muscles by learning how to: brainstorm and organize ideas in a consistent and proven manner, craft thesis and topic sentences, select and smoothly integrate textual support, move from surface understanding and literal interpretation to insightful, original thinking, use creative writing skills when writing more academic style essays required in high school, write with stylistic maturity using effective command of sentence structures and diction, revise for content and say more with less.
Rockin' Readers & Math Magicians
July 11-14, (Rockin' Readers: 8:30-10:30 a.m.; Math Magicians: 10:15-11:45 a.m.)
Walnut Grove Elementary School
Cost: $130 per session.
Rockin' Readers will focus on reading strategies, story elements, and nonfiction text features. Math Magicians will focus on math facts and problem solving games. For incoming first through third graders.
Incoming 7th and 8th Grade Math Camps
July 25-28 (7th: 8:30-11 a.m.; 8th: 12:30-2:30 p.m.)
Cost: $180 (7th), $150 (8th)
We are pleased to present a math camp for incoming 7th and 8th graders forbrthe 2016-2017 school year. The session will be taught by Carroll Middle School teachers in math classrooms. MathbrCamp is intended as an opportunity to review mathematics students have seen before, and to previewbrsome of the key math concepts they will be studying in the upcoming school year. Students will also be introduced to calculator skillsbrnecessary throughout the camp. A snack will be provided daily, water bottles are recommended.
PAP Math Boot Camp
Aug. 18, 4:30-6:30 p.m.; Aug. 20, 9-11 a.m.; Aug. 27, 9-11 a.m.
Cost: $100 for each 2-hour session
Students entering into a PreAPbrmath course in the Fall ofbr2016 will freshen up theirbrmath skills by working withbrcertified Secondary Mathbrteachers from Carroll ISD. Bring your Summer assignment, pencil &brgraphing calculator.
Summertime Learning Camps
Cost: Each camp is $160. A small snack will be provided
July 18-21 or July 25-28: Book club forbrincoming 4th or 5th graders, 9-11 a.m. Monday-Thursday.
Aug. 1-4: Book Club for incoming 4th or 5thbrgraders, 11:15 a.m. - 1:15 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
Your child will choose from various titles and reading levels. (Book will be provided). During the week, we will read books and participate in discussion and comprehension activities.
Aug. 1-4: Creative Writing for incoming 4th orbr5th graders, 9-11 a.m., Monday-Thursday. During The week, we will teach variousbrcraft lessons on point of view and voice. Students will write different piecesbrtrying out the techniques taught each day.
July 18-21 or July 25-28: Reader's Theater forbrincoming 4th or 5th graders, 11:15 a.m. - 1:15 p.m., Monday-Thursday. During the week. we willbrselect, read, and perform various dramas to support and promote fluency,brexpression, and confidence in speaking in front of on audience.
Animal Science Explorations
July 11-15, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Cost: $250 for the week
For children ages 8-14. Learn how to handle and care for a variety of animals, meet animal professionals and learn about their careers, participate in animal science labs and activities. Early drop-off and late pick-up available upon request.
Eating Like Einstein
July 11-14 (session times vary by age group)
Cost: $150
Your curious kiddos will stay engaged all week long with thesebrcool STEM and science explorationsbrOur camp gives your child the opportunity to learn aboutbrscience, technology, engineering, and mathematics throughbrhands-on investigations.
Mr. Mangham's Project-based Camps & Math Camps
Two weeks, 5 camps spanned over the two weeks (week of 7/25 and week of 8/8)
July Sessions are at Carroll Middle School, August Sessions are at Durham Intermediate School
Cost: Bulls & Bears or Architecture ($185 each, or $325 for both); 5th or 6th Grade Math ($185); Fantasy Football Friday ($75).
Follow the ups and downs of the stock market and learn about money with Bulls & Bears; draft a team for the upcoming NFL season on Fantasy Football Friday; design a dream home, restaurant, park, zoo, or anything you want in Architecture. Accelerated math camps are for incoming 5th graders and incoming 6th graders.
Dragon Cheer Summer Clinics

Cost: $125 pre-registered, $135 day of camp
Two separate camps: K-4, Intermediate. Parents and family members arebrencouraged to attend the cheerleading exhibition onbrThursday at 11:30 a.m. where the girls will perform skillsbrthey have learned. Participants will also be invited tobrperform during halftime at Dragon Stadium for at CMSbrvs. DMS game in October.
Carroll Dragon Baseball
July 25-27, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Carrol Senior High School Varsity Baseball Field
Cost: $115
Camp will teach players grades 7-9 advanced baseball skills and drills including: pitching, catching, relays, rundowns, defensive positioning, base-running/base-stealing, hitting to all fields, bunting and outfield-infield technique.
Dragon Wrestling Camps
July 25-28, 9-11:30 a.m.
Cost: $120
For wrestlers grades K-6. Please bring T-shirts, shorts, water bottle, wrestling shoes (not required), money for snacks. Camp will teach the fundamentals of wrestling and the Dragon team core values. The camps are designed for beginning through advanced levels.
Physical EduFUN Camp
July 18-21, 9 a.m. - noon
Cost: $150
Have fun playing some of our favorite games from PE class this year. Bring a water bottle and a snack.
Rockin' PE Camps
July 25-28, session times vary by age group/activity
Cost: $100 per session, $30 for dodgeball
Play your favorite games, have fun with your friends, be active!
Dragon Football Camp
Aug. 1-4, 8:15-11:30 a.m.

The Dragon Camp is a fun four days of qualitybrinstruction with the opportunity to learn the DragonbrFootball System at an early age (grades 1-9). Snacks available for purchase.
Dragon Golf Camp
Aug. 8-11, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Cost: $385
This is the 6th annual camp, put on by Dragon High School head coach Matt Glenn, assisted by former UNT Collegiate golfer, Arkansas Razorback, All-American Ty Spinella. Designed to help golfers of all skill levels. Camp features group and private instruction, games, T-shirt, video lesson, Hawaiian Falls Season Pass.
