In Southlake Boy Scout Troop 168, there’s never a dull moment. Over the summer, the troop’s senior scouts tackled a 40-mile-high adventure trek at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. The ranch is one of the largest youth camps in the world in land area, covering 140,000 acres of wilderness in northern New Mexico.
The troop’s younger scouts journeyed to Camp Buffalo Bill near Cody, Wyoming, visiting iconic destinations including Yellowstone Park and Mount Rushmore. The scouts also participated in various merit badge activities.
Troop 168 is sponsored by St. Laurence Church in Southlake and is led by boys from Southlake and neighboring communities. Open to boys in 5th through 12th grade, the troop meets Sundays at 4 p.m. at St. Laurence Church. Visit BSA168.org for more information.
