Taking care of our nation’s children is a duty all adults should take part in, especially when there are so many without proper food, shelter and education. On September 17, support low-income children in the 17th Annual Run in the Dark hosted by Community Storehouse, the only Children’s Charity in Northeast Tarrant County that is focused on keeping children in the classroom.
Join Community Storehouse and over 3,000 runners and spectators in a family-friendly evening consisting of a 5K and 1-mile Fun Run that help fund educational programs for children at or below the poverty level in KISD, NISD and CISD. This year alone, over 12,000 students have qualified for assistance in these school districts.
The first 1,000 finishers of the 1-mile run will receive a glow-in-the-dark wristband. Awards for the finishers of the 5K will be distributed as well. The superintendent will award the Run in the Dark Storehouse Cup to the school with the highest amount of attendance and participation.
The largest registered team (corporation, business, churches, etc.) will receive the Community Team Cup and will receive the honor of keeping the Community Team Cup the whole year.
Join the community as we show our support for the leaders of tomorrow. Every participant makes a difference in the lives of the 12,000 students in need of assistance. Bring your friends and family and feel good knowing that you are helping these children build their future.
