Eubanks Intermediate School welcomed a special guest to campus today: Tim Brown, former NFL player, Heisman Trophy winner and member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, helped kick off the school’s fourth-annual EIS FUND-a-NEED campaign pep rally.

EIS students packed into the gymnasium to hear Brown’s motivating message of setting goals and working hard to achieve them.

“You can think about being great, but you have to work,” said Brown during the pep rally.

Brown spoke about his childhood and early love of education and learning, encouraging students to reach their highest goals.

“How can you push yourself to be the best you can be academically?” he asked the students. “You have the opportunity to make something great of your life.”

Brown wore his Hall of Fame jacket during the pep rally and had his Heisman Trophy on display as well. Brown also donated autographed footballs for the campaign, which aims to raise more than $40,000. Funds will help support teacher and campus needs through an online auction offering one-of-a-kind student experiences and teacher wish-list items.
