Dragon Offense Comes Up Big in Sixth Victory of the Season

In arguably one of the closest games of the 2016-17 season, Carroll's offense once again came out on top, taking out Flower Mound Marcus on Friday night, 33-21. The team put up 516 total yards and four touchdowns.

With the Dragons on top 7-3 at halftime, both sides turned up the scoring effort. 

Leading the charge in the air was Clayton Keyes, who went for a team-high 139 yards receiving on three passes. First Financial Bank player of the week Jackson Davis led the team in receptions, pulling in five for 51. He caught both of Mason Holmes' touchdown passes.

Holmes threw for 247 yards in the game, completing 12 of his 25 attempts. He also rushed for 18 yards. Audricke Gaines led the rushing attack on 21 carries for 130 yards and a score. Tre Sledge pushed the Dragons' other rushing touchdown into the endzone on one of his 12 carries. He put up 78 yards on the day.

Kole Ramage booted in a season-high two field goals. His longest of the day went for 39 yards. He also stuck three of his four punts inside the 20 and averaged 38.3 yards per punt.

Jacob Copeland led the defense in tackles with 12, including one for a loss. John Miscoll added 11 tackles. Zion Sales forced the unit's only turnover with an interception, also contributing two tackles.
