Set the holidays aglow inbrbrilliant fashion at the 34th annual XTO Energy Parade of Lights inbrdowntown Fort Worth. Join the crowd of spectators from across North Texas tobrview hundreds of illuminated floats and a half a million lights. The festive fun kicks off at 6 p.m. on November 20.
The Parade of Lights hasbrbecome one of Fort Worth's most beloved traditions—and it's also the largestbrilluminated holiday parade in Texas. In addition to the decorated floats, thebrparade will also display brilliant antique cars, lively marching bands,brprecision equestrian units, horse-drawn carriages, and groups of carolersbrcelebrating “The Melodies of Christmas” on the 1.58-mile parade route. Santabrand Mrs. Claus will also be making an appearance on the specially designed,brLED-lit, grand finale float, sponsored by parade producers, Downtown Fort WorthbrInitiatives, Inc.
Fort Worth police officerbrMatt Pearce is serving as the 2016 Parade of Lights' grand marshal. Otherbrconfirmed participants include Mayor Betsy Price and other city leaders, titlebrsponsor XTO Energy, official vehicle of the parade and Premier Float Sponsor GMbrFinancial, and nonprofit organizations such as the Cowboy Santas Program, Inc.brand the Fort Worth Bicycling Association, all coming together to light up thebrnight and bring “The Melodies of Christmas" to downtown Fort Worth.
