The Lone Star State will have one lone representative band at Macy’s 92nd Thanksgiving Day Parade. The Keller High School Band will head to the Big Apple to march in the annual parade in 2018, according to an article on Star-Telegram.com.

More than 50 million people tune in to watch the world's largest parade from the comfort of their homes each year, while an estimated 3.5 million line the streets of NYC to enjoy the festivities in person.

“Each spring, Macy’s Band Selection Committee reviews hundreds of applications from high school, university, military and specialty bands from across the country,” Wesley Whatley, creative director of music and talent for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, said in the article.
