TGI Fridays Taps Southlake Resident for CEO Position

Jun 14, 2017 08:02AM ● Published by Audrey Sellers

Southlake resident and restaurant veteran Aslam Khan has been named TGI Fridays top executive. Khan succeeds John Antioco, who served as interim CEO since Robert Palleschi left the company last year.

Khan is founder of Falcon Holdings, LLC, and is known for being king of the turnaround story for struggling franchises including Church’s Chicken, Piccadilly Cafeteria, Long John Silver’s, A&W and Hardee’s.

But he wouldn’t call TGI Fridays a turnaround. “It’s not really down. I just want to enhance the performance a little bit better for investors, employees and most importantly guests,” Khan told Restaurant Finance Monitor.

TGI Fridays is a Dallas-based casual-dining chain that operates more than 900 restaurants in 61 countries. Click here to read more about Khan’s plan for TGI Fridays.
