Redrock Canyon Grill Rolls Out Church-Donation Program

Jun 16, 2017 08:35AM ● Published by Audrey Sellers

Redrock Canyon Grill is giving churchgoers a reason to dine out on Sundays. The Southlake restaurant rolled out its “Sewing Seeds Back into the Church” program, which allows patrons to bring a church bulletin to the restaurant or write the name of a church on their meal receipt on any Sunday. The restaurant then donates 10 percent of the total bill to the respective church. Southlake is one of six locations in the Oklahoma-based restaurant chain and is the only site currently practicing this policy of giving.

“We care about the community and we want to give back. It’s a way for us to stay connected to our customers,” said Kelli Grimes, proprietor of the Southlake location. So far, the restaurant has received donation requests for more than 30 churches in Southlake, Grapevine, Keller and Colleyville.

Redrock Canyon Grill waits for a single church’s donation requests to add up to $50 before donating that amount to the church and starting the cycle again.
