Sabre Names New Chief Information Officer

Sabre Corporation, the leading technology provider to the global travel industry and one of the country’s happiest companies, has appointed Joe DiFonzo as Chief Information Officer (CIO), effective July 10.
As CIO, DiFonzo will have responsibility for Sabre’s enterprise technology organization, as well as corporate information technology, and risk and security functions. He will also be tasked with building the next generation of tools and processes as Sabre continues to invest in enhancements to its technology infrastructure that supports airlines, hotels, travel agencies and corporate customers across the globe.

Joe has experience at leading technology transformation and shares my commitment to exceed expectations as we work to provide impeccable reliability and security for our customers,” said Sean Menke, Sabre’s president and CEO, in a press release.
DiFonzo brings to Sabre a nearly 30-year career in technology leadership, He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Central Florida.
