When Michelle Moore joined the Carroll ISD School Board in 2015, she set out to serve the community and make a difference. Her service and commitment has been recognized. Moore recently earned the designation of Master Trustee, the highest designation recognized by the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB).
“Leadership TASB was a unique opportunity to learn and grow as a Trustee,” Moore told MySouthlakeNews.com. “The program allowed me to build relationships with school board members from around the state and gain insight on the challenges and opportunities facing public schools in Texas. I believe this experience will make me a better Trustee for CISD.”
Moore’s accolades don’t stop there; she was also named the 2017 Volunteer of the Year by the Southlake Chamber of Commerce. Moore serves the community in many ways: Co-Coach with Carroll ISD’s Odyssey of the Mind program, NCL Southlake Fashion Show Sponsorship Co-Chair, Eubanks Intermediate School and Carroll Elementary PTO fundraiser, member of the Carroll Education Foundation Advisory Committee, Southlake Association for Gifted and Talented Grant Chairperson and member of the CISD School Board.
In 2016, Southlake Style highlighted Moore as one of its annual Tastemakers.
