If you crave an insider’s view of Texas politics, stop into the Southlake Barnes & Noble on July 9 from 2 to 3:30 p.m.—Mike Collier, a candidate for Texas Lieutenant Governor in 2018, will be on hand to sign copies of his award-winning memoir, “Out of Comptrol.”

Driven by a deep love for his state and its people, Collier resolutely set about to garner support from Texans of all political persuasions by campaigning on fiscal responsibility. Along the way, he discovered that Texans have a lot more in common than we think.

With engaging warmth and humor, “Out of Comptrol” brings to life Collier’s campaign trail adventures—from his brave decision to try to make a difference to fundraising, stump speaking and TV jitters. It also celebrates the splendor of Texas, which Collier describes with passion as he crisscrosses the state on the campaign trail.
